The birthplace of coffee. The Yirgacheffe region in southwestern Ethiopia, with its high altitude and cool climate, grows some of the most floral, fruit-forward coffees in the world — still a reference point across the coffee industry.
For most growers, coffee is raised on small family plots passed down through generations. Cherries are hand-picked and either sun-dried or washed — the lots Kimor sources favor the washed process, which brings out the characteristic jasmine and citrus notes.
